Last night David and his friend were the "opening act" for a band that played at the boat club that my parents belong to. They were going to be in the talent show but it was canceled. David was disappointed. After a bit the commador decided they could open for the band. They only played 2 songs, thankfully. They didn't get to do a sound check and you could tell. They were happy they were able to play, that's what counts.
Midnight Snack...because the icecream bar just isn't enough.
The theme for the week is light and shadow... I'm not sure if this really counts. I know there is light... but is there really shadodw?
Either way, this was a fun and tasty shot.

The theme this week is emotion. I would definitely be embarrassed if this happened to me! Thankfully, I can say that it has not.
The Space Needle at Night
The theme for week 22 is "night". I took this last week and am late uploading it. I ended up going up the Space Needle. I went later, during the day, though. It was a spectacular view.
Seattle is a beautiful city. I'm ready to pack up and move there.
This was taken from a park in the quaint neighborhood called Queen Anne. The homes were so cute.
The weather was perfect while I was there. It never rained once.
Work was a little slow. I'm glad I'm back. I missed my family so much. I wish they could have been there with me to experience it all with me.
Hello my friends! This will be the last post for a little while. My flight for Seattle leaves shortly after noon. I'm pretty excited, yet nervous at the same time. I am excited to visit a "new" city. I'm nervous about doing it alone. I'll be heading to my partner branch tomorrow morning and will be working 6 days with them. Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday will be free time. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I do plan on getting to the water during low tide. I am looking forward to exploring the sea life.

The theme for the week is zoom blur. This was new to me.. this zoom blur. I did it in a hurry. I don't care for the look. But it was new. I tried it. Maybe a different subject would be better.
This is the remains of my birthday bouquet. The daisies and mums out-lived all other flowers. Funny thing... I kept smelling this gawd awful smell in one of my rooms. I thought it was the carpet or something. Turns out it was this bouquet. There were smelly lilies in it. My room smells fresh again! I pitched the lilies.
The theme for this week is spending money.
Oh I can spend money... just ask my husband. Shopping is therapy for me. I go to Target on my lunch hour just to relax. I really need to find another way to relax! I spend money on the kids more than I do myself as you can see by this photo.
In honor of Mother's Day I thought I'd get my 52 week shot with my kids. The theme this week is "hard at work". This shows the result of my hard work. I've got to say these are two of the best kids. I'm proud of them both! ♥
This was her second time doing this. She ended up in 3rd place at this meet. She was so cute because she didn't think she was going to do very well. After they raised the bar the 2nd time she told me that she can do better than she thought. Her final height was 3ft 4in. She is going to practice hard tomorrow. She wants to get much better.

Cherry Blossoms*
The theme this week is to take a photo 50 steps from your door. This is of a tree in my yard. I love this tree at this time of year. Soon all those pink blooms will fade.
Life has been, as usual, pretty busy. Friday morning I went to David's school. It was to honor all the 9th, 10th, and 11th graders who have maintained a 3.333 gpa all year. I am happy to say that I went because David did! YAY!! I am so proud of him. He got a pin and an Academic Letter, you know the ones that look like a Varsity Letter. I need to get a picture of him with it.
sports
Friday Emily ran a couple of races at the meet. She came in first place for the mile. Her time was 8m 08s. Not too shabby for an 8th grader. She does have a long way to go to get to the Olympics though. lol
David is runny track this year too. No more baseball or softball for their spring sports. Seems kind of weird.
Saturday! It's a been a great day. I didn't have to work, I thought I did, that's what makes it so great. I do have a headache though. I woke up with it and it won't go away. I'm not letting it ruin my day though. I was out in the back earlier and found that these wild violets wanting to take over. Fine by me. They are behind the pool. It's about the only thing growing or blooming around here.
Fragrances
One of my favorite fragrances is Burberry Brit. I love the way fragrances can affect your mood.
Peeps have been the most popular nonchocolate Easter candy in the US for more than ten years. Take that, jelly beans.

fear of drowning
I have this strange fear of drowning. I am not sure where it comes from. I can swim and had a pool growing up. We have one now. It's silly, really. I often dream that I'm drowning, too.
